right i have a 95 wrx and i'm plaine stupid, and i'm looking to do some mods and i though maybe de catting, but i dound a bellmouth decat and then there's an up pipe decat which is tonnes smaller what does this all mean? which one do i need? i have the centre pipe leading to my backbox, but theres a long pipe running from that all the way to the turbo with a cat in it so what do i buy to replace that if thats what i need, i mean whats it called etc.
Ah right, I was under the impression the car can be prone to over boost which will cause unnecessary stress to the turbo?
I think the early cars (mine is a 93wrx) aren't as sensitive to changes like that ,may be wrong though.
Used to get overboost with my original ecu but changed it for a later model wrx ecu and haven't suffered from overboost possibly due to the better map on it but i still want a remap to get the most out of it.
well if i add a decat and a few other bits will i need to remap if i have a chip added in the ecu? and yes on djc to mate hello bud!
your best bet is to speak to PolarPerformance as if you tell him the mods on your car (or are going to fit) i'm pretty sure he can alter the map on the chip to suit mild mods (i'm pretty sure they are mapped for decats at a minimum).
Whereas the remappable one he does is the one for injector changes, fmic bigger turbo, basically the serious mods
