MY07 WRX PPP strange when cold

I've had my Hawkeye WRX PPP Wagon for a couple of months now and it feels slightly jerky under gentle acceleration when cold. Harder acceleration seems fine but town driving when cold is jerky.
I had a MY05 PPP before this and never noticed anything like this.
I know this is a different engine and fly by wire throttle, but once it's warm it's fine no signs of the jerkiness.
Could it be overfuelling under light throttle when cold, it's fine after about 5mins

I sort of know what you are on about, I have an 07 plate STi.
When cold and gently accelerating upto around the 2-2.5K revs there is possible a faint stutter almost. This only happens for literally the first time I touch the accelerator.

Yep,totally normal.
It's worse when the temperature outside is cooler but i get it on every journey - hesitates for a minute or so under gentle acceleration - soon goes though.
Told perfectly normal by dealer and have read as much on this site.

My 06 WRX has this as well, checked twice by Subaru and no apparant faults showing, although they guy who test drove it said there was a definate stutter / hesitation, then the imortal words ' They All Do that '
Mainly when cold but also when up to temperature aswell at times

My 03sti ppp has done this now and again when cold, it's got a throttle cable as well
As Andy-pay said above, it's runs very rich when cold, this could be the issue?

Its hardly noticable and nothing to worry about I'm sure, just slight overfuel on cold start.

My old classic Turbo 2000 is fumey to when starting from cold in chilly weather and slightly lumpy too, but car not standard. Z4 ECU + a few more mods. Go's VERY well in the cold though, boost and torque noticeably better!! Scooby likes the cold.............

Oh well, glad I'm not the only one!
Come to think of it I think my Blobeye MY04STi did something like this too, none of the rest of my scoobs have had it though.
Maybe an AndyF remap will solve this, something for the future ;-)

I have PPP and seem the have a flat spot in the mapping around 3.6k. Seems to be common.
Also have a slightly tinny sound ( like a loose heat-shield) between 2-3k which is slightly annoying but nowt to worry about.
