Two of the P1's sold in my area have been totally stuffed.
One went into orbit off the back of a hump back bridge, road went 90deg left, P1 over 70mph heading for the stars only to land in a farmers field. Bits were scattered everywhere, but there was no sign off entry. Maybe a case for the X-files.
There were 3 in the car including a Man City player in the back . All OK !
The second drove into a massive boulder on the side of the road after taking evasive action from some clown who was cutting the corner(lift off oversteer?). He went on to hit a bridge parapet.Car was totaled but again driver OK, airbags deployed in both cases.
Sadly the P1's have gone to their makers in the sky but have shown their strength in the safety stakes!!

Cool

Shame about the driver's strengths in the ability and reasonable restraint stakes.

I've always found the P1 to be a tremenously well poised car. It refuses to get out of shape even where my previous MY98 used to, despite the increased speed.

I've only been able to unsettle it using quite severe provocation.

Josh

PS I've heard of a few being written off now, happily everyone has got out safe and sound which is comforting.

Exclamation

I test drove my Impreza down the road were the City player crashed the P1 2 days after and were he went off is well known for big accidents, he lost it on the K left slid 80 yards up the road, side swiped the bridge parapet flipped over the bridge, cleared the canal and passed over a house drive way and landed in a field the correct way up. To give you an idea of how high the car went there are some trees about 10 feet above the level of the Bridge and he nearly cleared them. The road were it happened is called Torkington lane, the bends are called Torkey bends and are famous in the area.

Darren.

Talking

The only think I've found with the P1 is, under certain conditions, camber etc.. you can get one side of the feeling as though it is lifting off the ground whilst cornering...

Brillant car thou..
