If you edged out, how is it you have front end damage without any side impact damage?
I would say if you edged/pulled out onto a road without sufficient observations then you are probably to blame.

I'd have a go at fixing that myself matie rather than going through the insurance, unless they find him to blame of course.
New bonnet, bumper, lights, front panel, rad, bit of paint no problem.
There again can't tell from your pictures if there's any internal damage, inner wings, twisting etc... if thats happen a pro-bodyshop if the only way to go especially if you have little ones in the car. Then the price goes up and it's possible they will write the old girl of.
Make sure you get salvage retention if and when they do write it off, breaking an impreza will make you a pretty penny.
My brother kept his Impreza for £1000 salvage retention, and in the end he made £5500 from all the bits. It did have 2.5 bottom end and 6 speed gaer box etc though to help it along.

I would say they'll write it off. Its modified so I hope you told them or they are unlikely to pay out if they decide in your favour.
Buy it back and spend the winter on here asking questions and in your garage putting it back together.
Good luck and don't worry about the grammer and spelling merchants.

its taken the pass wing but still starts and drives
just pushed it back into the aircon rad
not really clued up on this sort of thing so wouldnt like to say
the only other mods are sti brakes, apexi power fc with commander and other little bits
just got to wait and see what the insurance say really
more than likely they will write it off

I had a bump in my car before (twas a £350 shed) but the damage was very similar. after 9 months of battling the claim went my way cos the guy who hit me was driving like a complete plank wrong way through a loadingbay as a shortcut.. I had no hope. Yes i did pull out infront of him but was doing about 5mph and stopped when i saw him.. he slid str8 into my car and then off past me.. musta been doing about 45 - 50 mph..
Not pleasent!

If you've got a witness saying the other guy was speeding your insurer might well find in your favour. A witness is like the the "hand of god" in insurance claims and can usually sway a decision very quickly.
You have no chance if the assesor (sp) turns up and see the PFC and all the other bits and bobs (even the 4 pots on the front is technically a mod). They just won't pay out.
Better to swap the bits and then swap them back after. If it means the difference between FA and 4 or 5 grand pay your mate a couple of hundred for his trouble.
The brakes, wheels, rear spoiler, front spoiler, PFC are all mods and all very likely to void your insurance.
