I have just phoned my Belgium dealer for info on my import.
I find that the recent uk price drop to £21495 from I believe £21995 GB price will not effect the price I agreed of 21,661 euros. At the present exchange rate of app 1.60 GBP to Euro this equates to £13,538. no uk vat or delivery etc.
The downside is that no Thatcher class 1 alarm is fitted. Despite what the uk adverts say they are fitted by the uk dealer.Therefor you must add about £350 or so for a Toad Class one alarm.
The upside is that on an import car the warrenty was only 12 months.
I am now informed that the service intervals have been increased to 10,000 miles with no requirement for the 1000 mile service. This I have to confirm.
However the warrenty has been increased to three years as per uk cars.
Hope this info is of help to prospective purchases.
My car is being delivered in March and I shall be better informed as per what the final cost was and what exactly was delivered on my UK spec car.

Thatcher Category 1 alarm would be enough to scare off any car thief!!

Anyway, thanks for the useful info. I'll be replacing my UK spec Euro import next year probably so it's good to hear things are going in our favour!
