Lightweight pulley set - worth it?

Default Lightweight pulley set - worth it?

Hi people,

As my cambelt is due was thinking bout fitting a set of light weight pulleys from Roger clark @ £200 at the same time.

Has anybody done this to their impreza? is it worth wile/noticble or just another way to splash the cash??

P.s i have a sti type r

never had it done on any of my cars dosnt sound like a bad idea though whats the advantage better response?

wouldnt spend £200 on a set to be honest, i have an underdrive crank plley on mine and the difference is next to nothing in real terms

Had a set fitted to mine, nice to look at as colour matches car, but not sure if they made a any difference to the car, mine were cheaper than that fitted from Zen Performance.

hmmm, cant see a price on zen website.

Perhaps its just money to make engine look pretty then?

Its just someat else for lowering rotational mass thats all. I had them in my head after i had my lightweight Kaiten flywheel fitted. I noticed no difference at all having done the pulleys, but after the flywheel was done, then yes big difference there.
I too had the RCMS ones in blue fitted. Look mint, do they do owt? I dont know, i cant notice

I can see the point if your after a 500-600bhp track car or quarter miler.
But for 99% of owners on here, not worth it.

Save your cash.

I gather it has no real effect. I'm going to do it anyway at the next service for pretty much the same reason though: it looks pretty...

hmmm think ill be wasting my money then as i like to begin modding after a full service - ill put the £200 towards a fmic
