Default Car......"feeling slow"...following on....

Following on from another thread about your cars feeling slow........well...mine is/was. I was thinking that my 2005 STI (remapped, 346bhp) was getting a bit slower.....until tonight.....

I had a very good bit of "sport/fun" with a Porsche Cayman S. He was trying, I was trying, we were on quiet country (smooth'ish) roads and there wasn't a great deal between the performance of the cars. If anything, I'd say I gained on him quite a bit as we accelerated.

He even went right around the one roundabout in my area in order to get back behind me........no doubt wanting to see what the **** was behind him with such badly adjusted headlights (I had a boot full of tools and records......wedged in of course).

So......was my car feeling slow....yeah, a bit. Do I now think it is slow....nope! My faith is restored. Considering performance figures for the Cayman are 0-60 in about 5 seconds and top speed of 171mph (which we went nowhere near of course), I am pretty pleased with my car. I reckon I have about 12 stone of ballast in the boot too!!

It still needs more power of course!!

Oh yeah....ended with him giving a little wave (I think) as he drove past when I pulled into the local chippy for my supper.

Played with a porsche 4x4 thingy befor ein my old diesel mg zs.. It was from some traffic lights up a bit of a windy slip road and onto the M4.. of the lights he went off no bother.. but when we got to the twisties I could still keep accelerating (wasn't a great 0-60 on that motor) and caught him..

I don't think he was very impressed as when we got on the M4 i think he wen't well passed 100mph to get away heheh! I didn't bother as I knew I had no chance
