It was one the best TG episodes for years.

What was the difference ? It was all (directly) about cars. Loved all the stuff about the first ever cars and watching the guys trying to get used to the controls. Then Hamster having a go in a Formula 1 car (and if you imagine you'd do better, I wouldn't be so sure !). And Lewis Hamilton on in relaxed mode to finish off with a perfect wet weather lap !

FFS, even James Clunt was funny !

They couldn't fit it all in tonight as there will be more from LH on topgear,com from tomorrow, plus the usual extended news footage (if they can be bothered, it doesn't always get hosted ).

 

It did seem to be heavily edited and jumped all over the place with the interviews. That said it was by far the best of the series so far.

Given the amount of time the show was off the air i have found their coverage of the top end cars a bit poor in the new series. I even did the unthinkable and fast forwarded a bit last week It just seems to have gone of the boil a bit though tonight's episode has restred my faith somewhat.
