On board camera.....
Evening all
Im looking into getting a bullet camera to mount on my car when I go out in just to record some footage...
Has anybody done this if so what is the best reasonably priced equipment.
I know I need a
1. Bullet camera
2. avi recorder of some discription with a screen
3. a mic
where would be the best place to position the mic so as to nuch get the wind noise.
Just curious if anyone has done this maybe on a track day or something.
would be nice to hear of any advice and possibly models of avi recorders etc
cheers in advance

The Archos units are great; we use three of them and a picture-in-picture unit on the race car. No problems with skipping.
We also have a recorder that records on to memory cards and that's great too.
You need to get cameras around 480 lines- any less and the fottage will be rubbish.
We've used these guys Motorsport Cameras and Helmet camera bullet cameras. There's a guy that sells on ebay under the name 4kam- I'd avoid him. The last bits we bought off him were second hand and damaged, and he refused to give us a discount.
Hope this helps
