I paid to get mine done at PS, because i had the ALK and 4WG done too. But it doesn't take long and is not a particularly difficult job to do.

So the STi is having it's christmas early Turning it into a real STi now.

I done the rears on my WRX the other week myself and it was the first time I'd done anything like this, took about 2 hours in total which included spraying the bolts with copious amounts of WD40 and several cups of coffee as I went!!

Oh, and a big tip - the U-shaped brackets which loop round the ARB bushes are held in by a bolt on one side and a nut on the other to another bracket on the underside (you will see what I mean when you get under there). Well, the fixings on the other side of the bracket (ie the bolt the nut goes onto and the nut the bolt goes on to) are welded to the bracket so you don't need to get a spanner in behind, which I couldn't do so removed the big bracket only to find this out!! Which would have saved me about 20mins in faffing about removing & replacing!! Afterwards I realised should have taken some pics and put together a "how to" but by then it was too late!!

Oh, and it fairly ttransforms the handling, even on the medium setting!!

Takes approx 1hr - 1.5hrs to do . Spray some penetrant onto the bolts/nuts to get them off easier. I trapped my thumb (right where the nail grows out from the thumb) between the ARB and the exhaust when it dropped off the last bolt . Enjoy.

Wolfie.

Stuck mine straight on hard, that way you can soften it off if too scary...

So I didn't bother ! Wa Ha Ha crazy man, over-steer please....

You'll only part with an hours worth to pay someone to do it for you. Failing that there are a few guides around.

Took me all of 20 minutes to do the ARB and both links....that was on £5 boot fair special ramps so no messing around just reverse up and off you go!

Rear is pure Meccano, the front more messing, but easy. Use ALL the grease provided in the bushes.

Hard setting on the rear will induce oversteer, nice if you like it that way. Bet you end up on middle setting...

Soft is a bit pointless to MHO.

About right 1 - 1 /2 hours to do the rear drop links + anti roll bar - I found it was easier to take off the backbox at the same time (was swapping it at the same time). Will be doing it again in a week time to put the car back to standard as its going !
I found the stiffest setting best on the newage cars as they are heavier !

1Hr tops.
Easy job, I did mine on ramps on my drive in -4Deg C! in Jan. you will need to drop the backbox exhaust on it's mounts to get the new arb in, but it's real easy.
I used new bolts with nylock nuts on the ends, but you could use the std nuts and bolts I suppose.

Yep, the bar needs to twist in the mounts so it goes there.

You are correct, the soft is close to std. I use the middle and you can really feel the steering change for the better.
