Default You can doughnut an STI!!!

I didn't know you could do this...

STI doing a doughnut!

...but evidently you can.

How much power would you need to make it happen? Surely not standard?

Good old Terry Grant.

YouTube - Terry Grant Subaru Impreza

I'm sure DCCD or even a PPG RWD conversion could be contributing factors. I certainly wouldn't be able to do that in my STI, back end out yes but a full controled donut is punching above my weight!

Terry Grant? I don't care if it was legendary reggae singer Eddy Grant. It just looks like some muppet to me...

That is not strictly true mate once you get it going you will be able to donut it like the pros, they are infact dead easy to donut. Spinning on the spot always amazes people and they think it is hard, when in a 4wd car it is dead easy, infact once it is going it is easier to donut it than to corkscrew it, you just get dizzy thats all

you should try it on grass or on a wet carpark and you wil suprise youself.

When my original (concrete) Bridgestones were dead I did one on a really dirty car park, so less grip....

Dead easy !

But as interesting as bouncing it off the limiter on the motorway.

Use the dial all the way back (first green light) for normal dry weather, diff-free mode as it's called, care behaves like a rear wheel drive car (and will kick out on anything but dry weather if your not careful).

For moving off and menuvering you want it in diff-free mode, for the current crap weather you want it on the second green and when the road looks especially bad or your pushing the car use the first orange. That should do the trick and get the car to behave a little better.

I know what you mean about it being on diff-free, unless its stone dry your heart jumps a little each time the rear bounces a little or you put a bit too much power down as you come out of a corner

If I could donut a 180bhp/232lbft XR4x4 on a wet car park, you should sure as heck be able to donut an STi!

Terry is probably the best in the world at 'doughnutting'. He's been doing it since the age of eight.
