Wink

I was travelling to work this morning (private road )
When I come up behind a BMW 330 and it pulled away from me,
as if I'd stuck the scoob in reverse. I could not catch the barsteward and the roads were wet.....
Upgrade time......
What bhp does a 330 have ???

240BHP standard with big torque, I think they are fairly easily upgraded too.

Very quick in a straight line.

Cheers,

Phil

What mods you done to your scoob?

In a straight line the 330 will pull away from a standard UK scoob at motorway speeds.....

Lust4life - I've had a drive and passenger ride with a nutter round a track in a bog standard one. Believe me, they are quick in the corners as well. Only problem I found driving is that 1st and 2nd gears are next to useless if you are caning it in the wet. Traction control kicks in and kills the power. After 40 MPH, no such problems

330i does 0-60 in 5.9s, 0-100 in just over 17s, tops out at 150mph. Not bad for a lardy saloon. It's down to the torque from that 3.0 in-line 6, which also gives it better in-gear times than a UK Scoob. However, the Scoob's faster all-out - all you have to do is change down

Hi, yep your right they are quick, I had a race with one and beat it not by much but it was comfortable. I have a WRX 94 meant to have 280 BHP on it but im not sure if it is running at that at present. Dam that another car quicker than the scooby, better not tell my uncle he will wanna race, as he has one.

Does anyone no what the turbo should bar at on a WRX STANDARD.

CHEERS

They are only driving 2 wheels and they have about 225 bhp
Their wheel bhp is going to be better than yours

I doubt thay are that easy to upgrade..20bhp max with a chip if somebody makes one...Mayby somebody supercharges them
ABT supercharge the 4 motion Golf costs about £5000
280 bhp and 250 lbs torque I think

Cool

The 4 wheel drive advantage of the Impreza is only really any good in the 0-30 times. Once you are on the move it is really just dead weight and huge transmission losses. When I had mine rolling roaded I think it was something like 230 BHP at the flywheel and only 146 BHP at the wheels.

Yep it does seem as these 330i's can give us a race for our money or infact beat a scooby. But the one i raced i beat three times, maybe he was a bad driver, coz i aint the world best just average.

Also there are a fair few cars out there quicker than the scooby now. you be suprised.

Fast bloke, I had one of the very first 328Ci's - wicked car but a little *too* competant after the M3 I traded for it. I would love a go in a 330.

I ended up buying a Supra TT as every drive was a special event (and I'd just left my 35k miles a year job as well).

Now got a Scooby

Cheers,

Phil

scottsscooby, do you race everyone?? you was goin on about racin your rsturbo'd mate the otherday. Chill out dude, you don't have to race everyone you muppet.

Incidently your car is not suppossed to have 280bhp if its standerd even though it's a wrex my94 came out with 240bhp only later models had 280bhp (sti) if you want to know more have a look here... FAQscooby Under japanise production runs. Your car should be running around 0.8 bar though mine which is a my95 shows between 0.6 and 0.8 depending on it's mood the weather my right foot.
