No, but I wouldn't recommend a Fiesta ST unless you never go on motorways. I've done a fair few miles in them and last time I had to drive from Darlington to Peterborough at 65mph because any faster and the noise was unbearable. It desperately needs 6 gears. Get yourself a Zetec S instead.

So does the Zetec S! My wife's got one and it revs really high. It's an 05 and we've had nothing but trouble with it to be honest. The latest thing is the passenger door that has started filling up with water, you can hear it swish around whenever you set off or stop. The dealership have said this might not be covered under warrenty either
they think it's ok for a two and a half year old car to soak up water! ![Cuckoo](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/cuckoo.gif)
Edited to add:
Finally got on my hands and knees today to check out the flooded door. Despite this 'being a very uncommon problem' and 'it being best to take it in to the body shop for fixing' all that had happened was the two drain holes had become blocked. Two prods and about three pints of water later and all's fine again.

The girlfriend has just bought an ST, and Im quite impressed with it. It has been lowered by 30mm, and handles brilliantly, infact, it feels more racey than my standard WRX, probably not as fast around the bends, but as its stiffer, it feels it !!!
Its definately noiser inside, probably due to the "plastic" bits being quote tacky, as apose to the "softer" dash on the WRX............... but nevertheless, well impressed with it, trouble is she wont let me out in it on my own, so havent really had a chance to thrash the nuts off it !!!
lol

If your considering something as a run-a-bout, why not try a Daihatsu YRV Turbo. 1.3 engine which pushes out 130 BHP. It has an Auto Box which also has an F1 style steer shift function. Group 8 insurance and £140 a year to tax. Only downsides are that to improve handling you will need wider tyres and lowered. Currently have one of these after part-exing my 'Y' Reg Fiesta 1.6 Ghia (Zetec s Engine). These are quick off the mark. And not many around. But being Japanese.........

The thread content has changed somewhat to the title, although I think it is perhaps what the poster intended anyway.
I think the White ST's with Blue stripes look fantastic. No doubt they are a good alround performer and if you were happy with the last Fiesta you had then go for it.
Don't believe everything you read on hear as opinions are as different as Black and White.

I think the seats are smaller. Im a skinny b@@@tard, and one the WRX, dont touch the sides, however the ST seats hug me well.
Also, the peddles are a lot closer together than on the WRX, I cant drive it with boots on..............

If, as you say, most of your driving is round town, then I would say try one. If you fancy a jap, then the supermini of choice seems to be the Suzuki Swift Sport.
