Should I buy a nur spec R exhaust?
I'm being quite weak willed at the moment, but can't make my mind up and need some people to lend me some irresponsibility.
So, should I buy a blitz nur spec-r exhaust.. like.. now?

It's a nice and loud exhaust, but I had my nan in the car yesterday (full decat Blitz Nur Spec R) and she didn't comment on the volume, she could hear me fine, and I could hear her. So ignore the "it's excessive" comments you might get. On a classic it may well be very loud inside, but it's alright on the newages.

oh I know its loud The Scoob is my play car anyhow so its not like it is something that I'd have to put up with all the time!
I think the only person who might comment is my dad when he hears it - but everyone else in the family is a petrol head so I think I'd be okay

aye, get one. as above classics have little sound insulation. the blitz is ridiculous on my scoob, full decat. on a newage, still daft outside but perhaps a little more refined inside.
get one, get one now, or il do bad things to your dog

Quick question - does anyone know/can remember, if the blitz exhausts come with the needed gaskets?
Quick answer would be very appreciated as it'd mean I can pick some up from the dealers tomorrow.

Got the complete system fitted from turbo back and it's insanely loud (105db apparently).
Not loud like others that sound tinny at the top end, the Nur sounds like a V8 on tickover, on light throttle it explodes into life, best description I can give here is similar to a TVR.
On boost it's just insane, deep bassy grunt followed by an alimighty scream as you hit the top end. Very addictive but the noise can get to you after a while - in my RA it's a bit too much, I can hear everything I go over so having the Blitz on full song leaves me a bit deaf afterwards
The bung makes a huge difference, completely changes the characteristics of the exhaust note, sounds more like a non scooby with the bung in, similar to my mates JDM twinscroll at full chatter (you can't hear the unequal manifold sound with the bung in.. well I can't anyway).
Also loose some power obviously with the bung in but not really noticeable - I only use the bung when taking the wife and kids about or going to work... had a few complaints from some of the offices where I work, apparently the window on one of the buildings was shaking from the noise - hehe... interesting they don't say **** about the TVR that pulls up near my office.
Best looking backbox period though, and yes depending on how your driving it will split flames out when it feels like it (without the bung).
