Oh believe me I can beat that!

So i've carefully taken it out of the packaging (10:30 25 dec), some would say more seriously than James May would. Put it on charge and waited patiently. 10:50 comes, ready for play...

Put some power on, not lifted yet, more power, still on the ground, more power...Now at this point I should point out the fireplace is 2.5 metres away, more power - ziiiip heads straight for the fireplace (which is on) bash - *poof* and it was gone.

I bring new meaning to crashed and burned.

Shout for my father as it burns to hell and he gives me a good shouting back, i'm almost 25, but boy did i feel 5 again!!

Merry Christmas Y'all!!

I once broke an electric guitar I got for Christmas before Christmas had even arrived. Back then a cheap guitar was just that, a pile of ****, and I was allowed it early as we had a school concert just before the holidays. Within hours it was knackered and a schoolmate had to take it into the metalwork room to weld part of the bridge back on, and during the process the chrome plating on the back of it just all burned off. Never the same again.

There's alot of these which simply fail after 3 or 4 flights. I had 1 from firebox that wouldnt take off after a while, luckily I got a replacement before xmas, n this one is fine so far. I reckon the motors are faulty on alot of them. Can't beat Chinese quality control

My Dad gave me his i got him for fathers day so i have successfully flown it twice now and so far no fire!

Have you checked there isn't a hair or anything blocking the rear? I found a dog hair got twined and stopped it from taking off, just did loads of spacky spins on the floor.

I got an Ipod Nano and gave up trying to work it after 30 seconds when I powered it up and it lodged into Polish, and I could find no way of changing it back. OK, it wasn't technically f**ked, but it was enough to **** me off enough to take it back to Currys, and confirms my long-held suspicion that Apple products are a complete shower.

got my little bro a r/c helicopter got it out the box couldnt b bothered to read the manual, took it out side for its maden flight but instead of puting it in middle of are garden he put it about a foot away from the back door of the house and tryed to take off. all it did was hop sideways into the door smashing both blades off and some more bits and bobs. its wrote off and he hasent been in the air yet

My mates chopper survived last night.

Despite 5 drunkards taking turns at flying it, bashing it off walls ceilings, christmas tree etc. And being taken out by a very curious cat

Must admit, the main rotor was on the **** which may explain why it was impossible to fly straight or hover....depite the alcyhol

Mine is ok so far despite crashing before all but one of the landings!
They seem have a mind of their own. If you ever manage to get the damn things stable and controlled, the next time it crashes (normally on landing as you try to keep it in the air as long as possible) it goes out of trim and takes a different route on the next take-off

Good fun but needs a lot of indoor space!

they need trimmed every single time you fly them and i find that the trim buttons need a tweak as the battery runs down

i have 2

1st one needed a few tweeks to get it flying properly, the second one flys awesome right out the box, hovers perfectly, added a little blob of blutack on the front end to give it a faster forward flight (i know you get little metal wieghts to stick on but bluetack is removable)

Yea they're much more sensitive when fully charged. Also if yours starts spiralling nonstop even with lots of trim, then the tail rotor is fooked, probably split.

I got a Micro Mosquito for Xmas, it lasted 3 days, after one 2 many wife induced crashes into the floor in the hall, Bearing in mind, the crash started 3 ft up off the landing. After some investigation looks like the pins that hold the rotor blades to the hub have gone missing. So just waiting for spare main rotor blades to turn up then back in the air. You definatly need a lot room to get the hang of the. Certainly not a good a idea to try and learn in a room 6ft square with book cases.
