eBay, - ****ty seller,
Was about to bid on a Impreza gl on ebay, so did a HPI check, what a waste of 20 notes, recorded as a total loss, and the seller knows, but no mention in the listing,
heres the car...
1998 SUBARU IMPREZA GL AWD BLUE on eBay, also, Subaru, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 14-Jan-08 16:18:12 GMT)

It could be a case that the seller doesn't know it's on the register but the fact that it's relisted due to a time waster sounds fishy to me
It looks like the winning bidder discovered it's past and pulled out.

Last keeper change (means when he bought the car) was before the total loss claim, so he was the owner when it was claimed for....

what really gets me is why he blatantly does not mention it. irrespective of how minor or major the damage is, hes selling at "top" money for a car thats on the hpi register,

At least you found out before it was too late. Just look at it that way and go and find a better one

Hardly a waste of £20, it's saved you losing a lot more

Actually its not illegal, its a grey area, but the law states that you do not have to mention its been damaged unless specifically asked by the buyer.

the 20 notes might have saved me, what if someone with out a clue buys it, etc.
just wrong imo, guess it comes down to your own morals when you sell a car, but to be honest, if he aint mentioned that, who knows what else could be up with the car and he aint letting on...

cheers.
imo when you sell a car on ebay, ebay should HPI it as part of your listing fee, and put the details in the auction,

if i leave feedback stating its a write off i am sure he will play ball or everyone will know about his car then try and sell it, if he puts it on autotrader i will find it and ring him and keep pesturing him (im sounding a bit like a stalker, lol) we will see
