All

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, and it's been asked before.

Going to bite the bullet and get the 45K mile service done on my MY99, even tho the car has just turned 21.5K miles.

I'm after total rough costs including VAT, from Subaru dealers in the South Eastern corner of England. I reckon £600-£800 all in. ???

Any takers?

Thanks.

J.

Juts had mine done, dealer reckons cam-belt at 60k not 45k. Cost me £220. That's on a UK99.

Cambelt is 45k roughly £400 for the service, 60 is a reasonably expensive one too.

Interesting Matt - my Subaru service book clear says cambelt at 45k. Was it a Scooby dealer?

Question

Chris, yes, local dealer. He said that on "later" cars it was 60k not 45k. Mine is a July 99.

Just checked my service book, and it too states cam belt at 45k - but I specifically asked him, and he was quite sure - weird huh! Might see if I can make some enquiries of IM to find out

Matt

Thanks chaps.

I'm going to pop in to my local dealer (Gatwick) and run it past them.

Just checked my service book and it states cam belt at 60k miles but I think mine is being changed anyway at 45.

MY99 UK Turbo, 45k Service with cambelt £353.25 inc. VAT @ K T Greens in Leeds.

I supplied my own oil, but during the service they fit new front brake pads (which I supplied) and refited my old exhaust.

Si,

What MY is yours? Is the cambelt being change at your request, or the recommendation of the dealer?

Cheam Motors just quoted me £425 on a MY99 Turbo.

Take off your 10% SIDC discount, and it works out at £382.50 makes the £25 SIDC membership well worthwhile!

Mine is a late MY00 on an X plate, I think it's the dealer that
is doing this but not at my request.
