orite felas! any chance of a picture of a classic 2ltr turbo engine.the thing is ive got a w,reg impreza wagon and i dont no much about them and it looks like on the right of the alternator there is a wheel that looks like it has had a belt on but hasnt anymore any help massivly welcome CHEERS!!!!

cant get picture up mate avnt got a fukn clue ive av to look into it.my bro recons it goes like a rocket,the a.c,light comes on but there is definatly no belt on it.also its got red power leads r they after market???CHEERS.

seriously, sounds like youve got aircon like i have.
ive cut off my belt though as i never used it. saps power from your engine when you have it running, and puts more pressure on your clutch when accelerating through gears hard, or so i found.
wouldnt have thought "it goes like ****" without it though. not that much difference

the theory behind this is that it removes inertia or drag put on the engine by systems like aircon. The less belts/moving parts = the less friction = more power. This is only theory but i suppose it should work as its almost the same principle as underdrive/lightweight pulleys.
