International Autosport Show B'ham ?
Just wondered if anyone was going and can you post pics

SUBARU IMPREZA 2008 RALLY CAR TO BE BUILT AT SHOW
Prodrive will be creating an Autosport International first by building the new 2008 Impreza Group N rally car live on its stand during the show.
Starting with a bodyshell, build of the car will start at 11am on Thursday 10 January and should be complete by mid-afternoon the same day. It will then be disassembled ready to be rebuilt on the Friday, at which point it will remain as a fully finished car ready to rally.
The show will be the international debut of this new car, the Subaru Impreza N14, which is homologated on the new five door Impreza STI. This road car will also make its UK debut on the Prodrive stand when it is unveiled on Thursday morning at 10.45am.
Alan McGuinness, Prodrive group N manager, said: “This is the first time we have attempted something like this and it is on a brand new car. While we build more than 50 Impreza Group N’s each year in our workshops in Banbury, we would normally allow several days to build each one, so building one in less than a day will be a challenge. ”

Not impressed
Saw the new road car (STI type UK) today on the Prodrive stand, price is excellent, but unfortunately the plastics inside look like pre Volkswagen Skoda (hard & shiny) and the front seats are about as supportive as a park bench, which means that you will have to go for the Recaro / 18" option to get the car where it should have been. Having said that the new steering wheel is superb.
Spoke to Mike Wood, tells me the "Prodrive Pack" is a couple of months after launch!! Can't get it out of my head, but back end looks like a 1 series Beemer

This weekend and don't miss it!
Great show, loads to see, Prodrive stand startling to look at.
Superb Colin McRae Tribute area, including many of his top drives.
Go and take a look at the Adrenaline Motorsport stand in the constructors area where the new Murtaya rally car is impressing a great many people, including Dave Richards, who dropped in for look leaving us all like dogs with two tails when he said he loved the car! I know it's a name drop, but hey...

Must admit that seeing the Evo X and the new Scoob in the flesh for the first time just showed how bland the Scoob is. How long until the new car gets facelifted? (although that won't stop it looking like a Focus/BMW 1 cross!). Mitubishi must be laughing!
Spoke to Curtis on the AST stand and was amused to hear that the AST equipped Litchfield car on the SFS hoses stand was being checked over by the Prodrive guys!
Nice display of Colin's cars on the tribute stand.
Good to be able to walk around and get on to stands for a chat without thousands of other folk getting in the way (except where the "display dollies" were falling out of their costumes!!)
