carbon fibre lip splitters, how do they wear over time?

i like my colour coded splitter but carbon rocks and i'm tempted to get one, my only concern is that given they aren't cheap how long do they look good for?
it's guaranteed that i'll scratch the ******, but i'm wondering how the look of the finish would be affected by stonechips and weathering?
any long term testers out there?

yes mate they do chip and scratch but dont let it put you off they can be restored to there former glory. i have a friend who specializes in carbon... richtypera. find him on here and speak to him...
