Hi everyone, im new on here and am about to buy my 1st scooby.

I could do with some advise. The one im looking at is a 1995 m reg subaru wrx team Mcrae series import. The guy says that the log book says its just a wrx, but he insists its a team mcrae car. It has the red top engine in it.

Can you please tell me, is there such a Jap import as this? I know that there are the limited edition colin mcrae series scooby's, but this is a wrx team mcrae???

The guy im buying the scooby off says that he has found out that its a wrx import, but its one with a better engine, seats and alloy body parts.

Anyone heard of this before???

no import is a mcrae car the real car is only done in i think 95 not wrx english car

not heard of it myself but i am sure if you had the vin/chassis nuber etc you could search and find out for yourself, maybe your local subaru dealer could check not too sure if they could find out as its an import but worth a shot

other thing i would consider as i did i was in the same place you were in, rather than buying an older wrx look at a later spec uk turbo, from what i know there are not much in it between a uk car to a wrx, plus with a later spec car you get updated bumpers, lights, seats, interior/dash, personaly i would rather buy a well maintained full history uk car then a older wrx import with little history from japan etc etc

think about it there are a few well modded ones on here at the moment and dont be put off by higher than average miles, if its been well looked after then you have nothing to worry about,

depends on how much you want to spend but i know there are twoi uk cars for sale in the general section i think, one is up by timchump (think that is his post name) uk car engine rebuild by api uptrated to 330bhp think it was up at 5.5kish the other is paul davies (again i think) another uk car modded to 300+bhp up at 4k, plus these two would out do the wrx you are looking at getting for the same money i guess that yo are looking to spend

just options for you mate they are worth a thought imo
