Default TSL "353" package

Having had my STi PPP re-mapped by TSL some while ago, I'm looking at various options for upping the output (would love a torque increase) I now see that they do a "353" package consisting of their pulse extraction exhaust, ceramic coated headers and of course, a re-map. Although I would prefer somewhere nearer 380 and appropriate torque, this would mean turbo and injectors.
Has anyone had the 353 pack? or any opinion as to it's effectiveness?

I'm still toying with the PPP to 333 package they do, may wait till the warranty runs out in November and go for it then.
Cheers

That's basically what I had done nearly two years ago, but retained the Prodrive exhaust. On Power Engineering rollers I got 340 with 309 lbft It's the torque figure I'd like to hike. I saw no benefits below 3500 but noticable improvements from then on.
Why wait for the warranty? Unless you claim on a problem involving the ECU, it's very doubtful they'll ever know!

I had the PPP to 333 conversation done around 6 months or so ago. Have to say I am very pleased with the results, driveability is much better. As JohnD said no difference below 3000rpm but that fantastic difference from then onwards.

On Dyno Demons rollers it made 317.9bhp and 331lbft.

Aggree. Add a fatter turbo and injectors and it then becomes interesting. A whole wad of more money though!

Have you got the "pulse extraction" exhaust? If so, what's it like?

i have the pulse extraction system on my 06 sti. I love the sound of it, it pops and bangs on over run. The burble is still in full effect, but there is more menace to it than with my firestorm. Its not cheap though, same with the headers, when you compare bhp to $£$£.

What a great drive home though.

Why not get some GT Spec headers for cheaper? Or get yours ported/wrapped. £1300 seems like a helluva lot.

Not exactly ONE step further, is it!
Is that a track day at Brands on 22 Feb? As it's only half hour away and half term, I may pop down for a bit of entertainment!
JohnD

PS Who did TSL use for the mapping, do they still use Richard Bulmer?

One super package you have there. I must admit i was very tempted myself.

Is it purely a track/race car, or can you go to asda with the kids?

the car can be used everyday but i choose not to
i use a van for work and the wife has her own car
other than that i use it whenever possible
need to be aware of speed bumps
and the clutch can be a little heavy
but the anti lag is a must in the local town centre
and i wouldn't go to asda with the kids in anything

Good to know. It lOOks and reads to be an awesome car. Whilst driving mine home from work, which is a rarity, i kept thinking what that blue beast would be like.

If you get bored with it, i'm still saving.
