Default identifying a WR1 ????

Was the colour specific to the WR1 ?
Was it only the WR1 that had the darker interior ?
Where is the numbered plaque ?
Any other cosmetic differences or anything else obvious ?

Thanks for any advice Craig .

WR1's are a distinctive light blue colour. It had different wheels and a few other exterior bits and bobs.
Do a search on members gallery, there should be some pics

PFF7's in a colour unique to the WR1 if I remember right, front Fogs but also with STi Aero's on front bumper. They also had a fancy key ring and tax disc holder that don't always stay with the car when sold.

WR1 Owners Club :: Home should have all the info you need...

The colour, while unique to the WR1 for UK cars, was also used for other STi's and perhaps WRX's on other markets. There is at least 1 imported non-WR1 in this colour in UK.

Unique bits are a plaque, a key ring and the tax disc holder. The tax disc holder is engraved with WR1, prodrive and a number as stated above, the key ring and plaque are not numbered. The plaque is intended to be applied in front of the gearbox gaiter on the centre console but all three of the above came in a pack rather than fitted to the car. So many will not have fitted either the plaque or taxdisc holder, preferring to keep them for when it's to be sold. And some have since appeared on ebay.

Other WR1 unique bits were the DCCD-A, PFF7's, spotlights, wing badges and floormats. The DCCD-A which, on UK cars, was only available on the WR1 for MY04 STi's (although it was subsequently fitted to later STi's). As above the PFF7's are in a darker colour which is unique to the WR1. The grille contains spot (or driving) lights rather than foglights as stated above. Floormats are WR1 logoed and there are WR1 badges on the front wings. Not sure about the black interior, I've certainly not noticed it on non-WR1 cars.

Other stuff like prodrive springs, mesh grille were options for any STi's at the time and later.

The Euro Petter Solberg used the same colour. It was a special edition but with a lower specification, IIRC.
