how do you know which pads you need till you take them off??

Just looking at some pads now and they both say they will fit my car MY99 but they look different,

SUBARU IMPREZA WRX TURBO MINTEX FRONT BRAKE PADS 1998>> on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 29-Jan-08 19:13:26 GMT)

They look like the right ones, although both links are the same. I have a MY99 too. You should definately have 4 pot calipers like me, so they are the same.

Thats definalty not the ones I used on my MY99.
Go with the first links you posted, muche bigger seller on ebay.
The last link has made a mistake somewhere, although
front brake pads to fit the following cars (with standard, non-Brembo, type brake calipers):
is not the best description. What are non-Brembo type? 4 pot or 2 pot?

Let us know how you get on with the pads mate.
I was advised to use the Mintex MDB 1794 by a company that i was put onto... £35 plus delivery... Better than standard pads they said

ive used them before on my old mondeo with drilled and grooved discs and they only lasted about 6months, but only got grooved on my scooby so time will tell
