Default Spec C RA modified

I dug this up on the Type RA site. I've seen it before but re-read it now.
What a car!!

Have a look

http://www.type-ra.co.uk/vB/showthread.php?t=2569

Seems like the owner is not on the site anymore but its a great read

When I first saw the Intercooler he was installing, on a near perfectly setup Impreza, I thought it's only going to end in tears. I'm now at the point where he's melted two pistons.

Is it just me or are the figures a bit on the disapointing side given the amount of work and money been spent

Maybe it's the different gravitational pull down-under.

Could be they just have more accurate RR'ds.

What were the figures?

That guy has more money than sense FFS..!

All that work and £££ and he's gained less than most do with a remap and very basic mods..!

Why would you go to the length of fitting that piddly small FMIC. If you're going to fit a FM then at least fit a decent one..!

BTW where's 'quick reply gone'..!?? More room for adverts no doubt..!

It's 330 odd at the wheels, so not bad. Still no need to go FMIC IMHO.

So he's about 390 at the fly.

Right, doesn't sound that impressive at all.

Just to give people a heads up, this car was owned by a guy called Justin from New Zealand. Being a Type-RA owner myself we used to keep in touch via PM. Before he got rid of the car he fitted a HKS GT2835 twin scroll turbo, and the car made 282KW ATW (378bhp ATW) on 98 RON and 303KW ATW(406bhp ATW) on C16. He just never bothered to update the thread. Suffice to say this car was a monster.

So i was wrong with the Kw to Bhp conversion rate but like Gaz says not that impressive figures considering the money he's spunked on it.

Don't get me wrong it's a lovely car and i'd kill to own it but i'd of expected a bit more
