Thought you would have been telling him to buy a Peugeot Tony seeing that they are faster, isn't that what you think?

I said when moving its as quick as a standard new age wrx, though you should know about transmission losses and the likes with subarus but its been repeated over and over, the STANDARD new age WRX is NOT that fast out of the box and MOST modern HOT HATCHES can easily keep up with them, even back in 2000 with my classic in standard form, i had a civic vti all over the back of me, standard v standard, and classics are lighter! (160bhp v 215bhp)

Ah right, you have to get the things moving first! So, 0-60 your going to get spanked and then the peugeot, once its got moving, with less bhp is going to catch up with the WRX.

Cuckoo !!!!

LOL kev considering you have never owned a new subaru you dont seem to understand how slow they are out of the box, damn and if you cannot also read (ill say it slowly again shall i or are you that stupid you dont understand )
ONCE MOVING (big letters for you ) IS AS QUICK (is it sinking in yet )

I would say the 08 WRX (S-GT) is much more watered down than the outgoing 07 WRX and gap between WRX and STi's growing IIRC

The 08 WRX with the twin scroll turbo and Variable quad Cam timing is far more tunable with a few slight chaissis mods, 18" wheels and a Remap WILL totally transform the Car

Hopefully trying the STi Monday at Litcfields will let you all know what i think then same it's not back to back with the UK version though

whoops back on topic I heard late summer for the Spec C but as Tony says more likely to tie into the new jap Model year ... so October

IMHO

Tony

I'm a **** too, as my manky diesel Skoda easily kept up with, and occasionally overtook Subaru's on the last two trackdays I was at. I'll be there in a couple of months time to repeat the event yet again too

I was down at Litcho's today and test drove the new sti after Jap preformance magazine had finished with it having only seen pictures of it all I can say is they have got a cracking little package there, seemed to do everything it says on the tin after driving it around ian's test track(backroads) funny thing about it as far as I am aware Ian has the only sti one in the country at the mo but traveling back up the motorway I passed one which I presume must have been one from prodrive, honestly anybody that gets a chance to drive it will be very suprised.

The JDM's are called the GT for the non Turbo and S-GT is Turbo
EU/UK use the terms "Sport" and "WRX"
