Default Fog light cover fitting.

Good afternoon,

I have recently purchased some fog light covers for my WRX Wagon as one of the fog lights are broken.

Do I remove the fogs and then fit the covers or do the covers go over the lights.

I have read somewhere that you can attach them using silicone sealer?

I bought them on ebay and they dont have any fittings.

Cheers all and look forward to hearing your ideas.

Many thanks.

Matt.

I personally thought that you would disconnect and remove the fogs and then attach the covers in place, but I have seen somewhere that they go over the fog lamps???

I am sure someone can answer this.

not sure on classics but on bugeyes barackets are needed and on blobeyes they slide in when the fog surrounds are removed
would have thought brackets were used?

I used a pair of STi covers on my WRX ra track car instead of the fog lamps.
The covers should have been supplied with brackets to fit them correctly, and the fog lamps need to be removed to do this.

The bracket is a triangle shape with a hole in each corner, this bolts to the bumper where the fog lamp would bolt to. From the 3 corners there are "L" shaped legs coming out of it, and it's here the covers bolt to.
