Hi there, thats what I had on my last car and i had it mapped. I have to say that to get the full potential from a re-map then you really should change the exhaust for a high flow system( RCM or Milltek ) preferably de-catted and fit an upgraded fuel pump and panel filter. The exhaust wil cost you about £750ish, the pump £80ish and the filter £45ish. On top of that the re-map will cost anything from £500 upwards depending on where you go. I did all of the above and got approx 285bhp. The PPP is basically a high flow intercooler hose ( which will stay on ) an off the shelf chip for the ECU ( which generally will not give the bhp that Subaru says it does ) and a Prodrive back box.
If you do all of that then you will have a completly diffirent car !!
Hope this helps.

A standard wrx ppp is around 265bhp. The ECU is already remapped, albeit not optimised to your particular car. If you had a fresh remap, you could keep all the PPP parts and you may get a few more horses, but to be honest, it's probably not worth paying £500+ for unless you make a few more upgrades as suggested above.

The official line is that they will affect it. But it all depends wether you feel like declaring them or not.
I have found A Plan and Insurance 4U are quite good with mods.
That figure of 276bhp is NOT correct. You would be lucky if you get the 265 they suggest.

PPP= new hardware e.g. exhaust parts and a generic map.

If you get a remap, you keep the hardware, but you loose the generic one and get a custom one that should give you more power etc...
