What would you do?

What would you do?
Back in late October i arranged to buy some door handles from a member on here for £20, he seemed polite and genuine by pm and i sent a cheque off to him in good faith. However, i think my trust has been mislayed.
After a couple of weeks the handles still hadnt arrived but i was in no rush so i pm'd him to politely ask when i could expect them. He replied saying that he had been busy with work and had forgot to post, fair enough. Then after another week or so they still hadnt come so i pm'd again and was again told sorry just been really busy will send them next day.
Needless to say he didnt, and now hes not answering pms(hasnt logged on since 2nd jan).
I cant email him because his email is blocked on scoobynet.
I sent 3 messages to admin on here who seem to be non-existant (thanks for no replies guys, great help you've been )
I know its not mega money and i shouldnt always trust strangers on here but ive never had a problem until now?
What can i do about this now? What would you do?

i know before i calmed down and had a kid someone rupped me off for £40 and i went mental , i even posted up £200 for his address. at the end of the day its not the amount of money its the fact that some scumbag tried to rip me off.

Slightly different this one I think.
Side 1 Guy agrees to buy item, sends money for item(14 weeks ago), never receives item(14 weeks on) and tries to contact seller with no luck.
Side 2 Guy agrees to sell item, receives money for item(14weeks ago), never sends item out and fails to reply to correspondence from buyer.
I would be kicking **** for this if it was me, even if he stayed on the other side of the country. As said before its the principle.

so there isnt two sides to that story then? and so therefore the guy who sold the handles but didnt send them dosent have a reason for not sending them? maybe his partner tidied them away and he cant find them? Believe me it can happen! and whats your great interest in this scotthldr? you seem to be more interested in this than the OP.

Read the OP'S original thread, this stems back 14 weeks, the seller has said he has received the money, he has apologised for not sending the handles out after 6 weeks, yet now 14 weeks on he still hasn't sent then out, nor is he replying to the buyer. If there was a genuine reason behind it why does he not reply? Just interested in the outcome as there is too many so called members on here that are too quick to rip others off, not that I have to explain myself to you.
What was your reason to get involved in the "Horror story" witch hunt then Shaggy1973

as I said theres always 2 sides to every story, there maybe a perfectly good enough reason for the seller not sending, I think that if he/she was to rip someone off it would be for a higher amount than £20.
avery has your seller been online and posting as normal and selling other items as usual since he last contacted you? maybe you could pm me with the details so I can maybe try and reason with your seller?

Shaggy you question me on my interest in this? Then say what you have above. Pot calling the kettle black mean anything to you.

Right ive run out of patience,
Scooberoo
This is the member that has taken my money without sending me what i paid for 3 months ago!
So if anybody knows Mark Horne of Mendip Way, Stevenage please let him know he either owes me some parts or just give me my bloody money back.
Cant believe fellow subaru enthusiasts would do this, you live and learn.

bit late now but a good rule to go by is dont buy off new members, I usually wont buy from a member unless they have at least 300 posts and are a plus member, as they have something to lose.
heh it could have been worst, just imagine if you had sent him £300!
you might drop lucky scott might go round and sort him for you, he clearly is after blood. lol
