Default Spooling of my 18g.

Clear road & bored on early sunday am. So thought i would see what happened, as i've not "really" checked the spooling time with the Defis.

6th Gear:
2650 RPM hit 1 bar of boost.
2900 RPM hit full 1.63 bar boost.

5th Gear:
2800 RPM hit 1 bar of boost.
3000 RPM hit full 1.63 bar boost.

4th Gear:
2950 RPM hit 1 bar of boost.
3200 RPM hit full 1.63 bar boost.

Spools a lot quicker than i've read. It did feel like it spooled quicker than expected, when i left AF with a smile.

Almost impossible to accurately check in 2nd/3rd gear, would need a passenger.

Any comments? Comparitive tests?

Daz, sound very good, but try it in 4th as that's the usual benchmark (will be higher rpm). IMHO 1 bar at/under 3k in 4th is good..

Lol, this is where a defi rev gauge would be ideal as you could just hit record and watch back later when it's safe..

Aye, you're dead right, the rev counter would be good to link it all up and watch back.

OK, i'll give it a go in 4th. (An excuse to take the STi to the gym tonight )

Bugger! No road to test the spool last night, by the time it was warm. Brought it in on the commute.

Again, it's bloody pishing it down here. I'd of been better of with an arc. Hoping to give it a try tonight.
