Default My first sighting of the new Impreza on the road..

Filling up at the petrol station today and saw a new-shape scooby filling up next to me. Not sure about the looks.. It's alright, but really nothing special, and I can safely say even my bugeye looked mint parked next to it.

The best part was the driver. In the queue infront of me there were a couple of young blokes, a woman and a 65-70 year old guy. Guess who's it was? LOL! Had to laugh.. He had to be the oldest scooby driver I've ever seen. I wonder if he mistook the Subaru dealership for Daewoo when he saw the new WRX parked outside? Or maybe this is the 'widening market appeal' Subaru keep going on about in action?

Yea - Sorry, my bad! Changed the title to be a little less confusing.

Its not like any other scoob is nice looking
Fact is I saw some middle aged woman in an Impreza bug eye GX today, made me laugh.....
Subaru are broadening their selling range because 600k cars sold across the world isnt really that good, so laughing at another scoob driver because they have a newer car than you also isnt really that good, just because its "not as fast" though its still a scoob doesnt mean that you can take the mick out of the driver, who maybe a bit more mature (roll on plewis ) but has the bottle to go and buy a new scoob
Just wait until the diesels are out in Impreza's, will be the biggest seller from subaru not the petrol models!

Steady, I wasn't laughing at the driver. Fair play to him, I'd love to be driving an Impreza at his age.

I was laughing at the situation - at the fact a car which was once marketed toward boy racers is now the perfect run-around for an OAP.

I mean, let's face it, you'd hardly expect to see the same 65 year old climbing into a P1 now would you?

There used to be a women down Hampshire way I think who used to be out watching rallies in the area and driving a P1 - she was well into her 70's.

The guy you saw was obviously one of the new "responsible" owners that IM have targetted the new Impreza at.

Ooh the irony. The bug-eye was targeted to the grey pound by Subaru. I saw a brand new uk300 parked next to my newish P1 at a Subaru dealers years ago, which looked the car belonging to a 70 year old?
