This weekend I entertained several Scoobynetters....Matt (wrx) Jon 172 and Graham (Skippy).
They came to stay at mine on Friday night for an early morning start to Anglesey circuit on Saturday.
Both Jon and I were booked on the track (1st time for Jon and he was a natural )
Stopping at the little thief (chef) at Bangor *** services (the Welsh camping contingent will remember this place ) at approx 7.00am....THAT'S 7.00AM !!!!!! We ordered brekkie......myself, Jon and Graham, early starters....Matt.....CAJUN SPICEY CHICKEN, SALAD AND CHIPS......it woke us up if nothing else....the man's a dustbin !!! methinks Grover from Sesame Street is more apt !!!
Just thought I'd share that with you
Oh....and he also brought a 12 pack of Coke with him.....2 bags of family size crisps....a family bag of mars bars and had several burgers and hot dogs at the venue....he's only 10st wet through ......he took nothing back with him coz he ate everything

Ha Ha Ha
You forgot the second helping of Cajun Chicken on the way home. I ended up feeling a bit sick after been thrown around on the track mind, must have mixed it all up.
Oh yes someone had spilt octane booster over my cans of coke which didn't do me any good. Now who uses octane booster?

My 1st trackday was brilliant I'm still buzzing!
The weekend started for me at 6.30pm on Friday. I picked Matt up & we headed up the M6 to chez Mellow. Got to Chris' at about 9.00pm, had a chat with Skippy, laughed at the 'young Mellow' pictures on the wall & went for a Chinese.
Got to bed (in Chris' caravan!) at about 1.00am.
Up at 4.45am after a crap nights sleep with Matt snoring all night We left Chris' at 5.30am.
In no time we were in Wales & at the Little Chef for brekkie. Now I have seen Matt eat some rubbish, but FFS! Cajun chicken & chips at 7.00am!
Stopped to clean the cars (yes I know we're tarts ) & arrived at a very windy, but very sunny Anglesey circuit at 9.00am.
I must say I was bricking it to start with, but after a fair few laps I found some speed & started having fun. I had no chance of competing with the 'Caterfields' & Exiges - or a certain P1 for that matter but Elises, pah - easy pickings for the infamous 172
Got home at about 9.00pm on Saturday after stopping for another cajun chicken & nearly falling asleep on the M6 - absolutely knackered, but still smiling
Front tyres are shagged now, but I have some slicks ordered for the next trackday. Mark my words, there will be another one soon
Cheers again to Chris & wife for their hospitality & to Matt for his usual poor standard of co-driving & use of camcorder - Elise killer the movie in the Scoobyshop soon

"also need to discuss showing 172 boy up at the Camb EVO meet"
Think you've got the wrong bloke Mr. P1 Enthusiast! I'm not going to the Cambridge meet. & don't call me boy
I'll be at the Stratford-upon-Avon EVO meet though. Come along, I always look forward to attempts at 'showing me up'

I forgot to mention that Mellow wanted us to leave dead on 5:30. The reason behind that was to wash his car TWICE on the way there, now I thought I was bad.
Charlie Whiskey
The servis was very quick no more than a ten minute wait, must be under new management. So when is the first of 2002 WCT's to begin?

Mmmmm, now let's see...
I wanna do a North York Moors trip first, but I have a fair idea what that will be. (need pubs though... any suggestions? - Mellow: could do with your assistance with this one!)
I've not got much reccee time available as I'm working most weekends till March (17th Feb execepted!)
So I guess it will be April/May before WCT4
I might put a thread in Midlands for discussion, what would you want? North, South, Mid,... ALL?

Charlie Whiskey,
Have you seen the long term test report in the latest Evo magazine? They take their cars up to the North Yorkshire Moors - looks excellent up there, count me in for that meet
Put me down for WCT4 while you're at it
Are we going to meet at Keele on the way to the Lakes on the 17th?
Let me know!
Cheers,
Jon
