We had hard frost for a week up here and ever since my screens been creaking quite a bit (2006 wrx). Has anybody had anything similair and found a cure? Is there a simple repair available from dealers (200 mile round trip for me so if i can fix it myself it'd be a bonus). thanks for looking.

i had similar-crack appeared across whole screen and had to get replaced!
try rac windscreens-they can repair sometimes but your insurance may not pay out

my whole car creaks on cold mornings,fine when its warm,just the plastics contracting

Try running a tiny amount of silicon spray (the kind you use for elec windows etc) around the edge of the outer trim, where it contacts paint/bodywork (black metal trim on outside that has a rubber edge to bodywork) wiping any excess off.

Had to do this with my new screen as the rubber was squeaking, worked a treat, may be worth a try..
