hi i just bought a impreza sti jap import and absolutely love it!

ive bought a chip for it and have had a look at how to fit it, and to do this i had to disconnect the battery. since i reconnected (without installing chip) i have lost all the turbo pressure. the person i bought the chip from has said it takes about 150 miles of driving to reset itself, is this true??

Little bit more info on the fault may be required.
Do you have a boost gauge?
What year is your car?
What sort of chip is it (i know it's not connected but always good to know)?

its a 1996 n registered wrx sti. i do have a boost gauge, thats now reading 0. I bought the chip on ebay, its a genuine subaru one.

has this happened to anyone else before after disconnecting the battery?
