Default Flushing oil

Just bought a 97 uk turbo with loads of miles on it and the oil looks dirty.
I am going to change the oil on thurs and is it a good idea to use flushing oil or will it do some harm

I think it does more harm thn good.
If you wanted to give it a good clean do 2 oil changes.
1. Change your oil & filter
2. Use it for about 100 miles
3. Change oil & filter again

As above. A cheap 10/40 semi synthetic, take it steady for a few miles then change it for the oil of your choice.

^^^^^ Agreed.

You shouldn't need flushing oil on a modern engine. If you're worried, then do as above and do two oil changes.
