Default Prodrive "Style" STI.

Just got an online insurance quote on an 02 STI Prodrive that I am interested in. (Just used Direct line as a starting point). I stuck the reg number in and it returned it as a being a standard WRX. Does this mean that it is incorreclty registered as I am assuming they get this info from the DVLA? I havent seen the car in the metal yet but it certainly looks like a Prodrive STI to me!

As much as I would love to take them up on their quote I am guessing I will need to call them and tell them that it is in fact and STI.

Cheers

DVLA lists my Prodrive-style STI as "WRX-STI PRODRIVE". Give us a link to the on-line quote and I'll test it.

If you end up with DL please be careful and ensure you explain it very thoroughly to them as they got mine wrong. Twice. And they tried to make me pay for the alterations to policy after their ****-ups .

I shall be chaning next time around.

Did the same to me - i told them to stick their £15 "policy amendment" fee where the sun don't shine and that i should have to keep calling to correct their mistakes! And my cars standard apart from PPP - explaining that was complicated enough!

Willing be using another insurer next time too!

Got my STI Prodrive style in Dec, had a word with Keith Michaels brokers, (look in insurance section), they know whats what with imprezas unlike most mainstream insurers, and there prices are superb, by the way, the car is amazing.

My prodrive-style STI sometimes comes up as a WRX UK300 on some of these sites, so I think its a common problem.
