Got £300 for mine, but that was at only 20k miles.

Good mod for the classics and WRXs.

I know i wish i would've tried the MD now, but the 18g you can get for almost half the price, around £800. Minus say £250 for your VF. Not bad price to get you up a stage.

But yeah, so i've heard. Like a 20g with better spooling. Ah well, something better always comes along.

He missed the boat and the post office robbery required to pay for the MD321H.

By all accounts a fantastic turbo, but rather more expensive than an 18G!!

Aye, they were pretty unknown.

Wont you need an injector change with that turbo? I thought it was a 400-420bhp turbo.

I'd be interested to seeing the spool characteristics of that turbo. I might have seen them before, but i can't remember. Especially as i just did a wee test on my 18g:

apparently not the sti ones 565 i think are good to 400bhp and i dont want to go over that. 380ish would suffice.

Smart move, as internals get to their limits. Apparently.

Why pay the extra for the MD then?? If you can get there for cheaper, with better spooling?

Note that the second curve is torque, not boost, but they pretty much follow each other.

MY02 STI, MD321H, 650 injectors, 3" Hayward and Scott sports cat system, Hyperflow induction kit, Walbro 255 fuel pump. At that stage running about 1.45 bar peak boost, tailing to 1.40.

You ideally need 650 injectors for 321H. I'm making well over 400bhp on standard internals (using methanol) - so far, so good, but I'm 'pushing the envelope' so a built 2.35 could be on cards if it all goes **** up

Even at 400bhp, you're right up to the limit apparently - most tuners recommend bigger injectors even at a tad under 400bhp

Aye, mine were at 94% duty cycle at this level.

Crap curve you've got there lunar, i think you would be better with an 18g turbo. I know someone that has one that would swap it for your 321 plus a few squids.
