I was wondering that too. Glad I spotted your post otherwise I would have looked silly

Sounds like a nasty theft, but to be honest, it was pretty obvious. If you car alarm goes off then you should assume that there is actually someone out there trying to steal it.

I turn mine off from inside if it goes off, then peer out of the window. If I thought there was any damage, or if I could see someone then I would call the police. Otherwise I would just go back to sleep and deal with it in the morning

Not a nice read.

"Checks out broken window and masked robbers attack with a baseballbat"

I think the key is to take something with you. Or just leave the alarm going for half an hour.

Hold it against your head before pressing the fob. I kid you not, this increases the range I have no idea how...it works though!!

criminals been doing this for years, suprised no one heard of it, its an old trick originally designed as a distraction to give some one a good pasting. or to enter their premises. luckily as above mine works through my front door or window, and holding it to your head really does make a difference

Take it you have quite a big head that acts as some kind of antenna?

More like an empty head for a stronger signal.

Maybe time to get those flamethrowers they used to have in johannesburg.

Two pipes sticking out the side of your car , either side, that lets loose some hot flames onto the hijacker / robber, but i doubt the uk will allow that, too many frikkin rights for these ********.
