How often do you change your oil??
I drive pretty conservatively you could say, often granny driven. I use my car a few times a week, maybe 2 or 3 times, and often stay off boost, but when the roads are clear, or late at night, il give it a lil boost now and then, but only for short spurts, maybe 5 -10 secs max.
Sometimes go to rally training with some fellow rally drivers, like on an ice circuit. There i use a bit more boost, or when we have car meets on the mountain passes, il push for a minute or two.
I change my oil every 5000kms, thats roughly 3000 and a bit miles.
Iv read about some people changing every 1000kms!!!! Maybe if they go to the track every week, i can kind of understand. My gf changes oil in her nissan cube roughly every 3000kms, but even she knows, the dealer uses normal oil, not high grade stuff........

well it says to change with a service so 7-7500miles for me. i dont thrash my car around and doubt while under my ownership it will see a track. had three full services in the last 13-14 months and shes happy enough. maybe will start to do oil changes in between services though, piece of mind with an ageing engine i suppose.

Erm,unless your doing like, 3000 miles a month, thats obbsessive that is.
i read a report that clean engine oil is actually bad for your engine, it needs to get a bit dirty to work properly.
try and search the net on it.

***** is what yer are! lol. Talk about the height of paranoia.
The book says 10k and that is what it gets.
Changing every 5k is about the most i would ever do if i was **** enough to do it.
Once again, it all depends on how you treat your car, and how you spend MOST of your time driving it.
But unless you have a deal going with Oilman, why be so ****?

Don't know if that's a great idea - in the first year of ownership I'd be inclined to stick to the manufacturers recommendations and go for longer intervals. It's probably best to promote a bit of engine wear in the first year - lots of new cars seem to have incredibly long oil change interval recommendations when new, which then shorten. But perhaps that's to appease the company fleet managers who sell them on after a couple of years? Opinions welcome...
