I wonder if any of you have had this problem - there is water sloshing around under the transmission tunnel of my MY00 Wagon in the handbrake area. I reckon it's about 1 litre of water.

It's been up on ramps but the tunnel is completely sealed underneath so the water must have got in there from above (maybe in heavy rain) or maybe from driving through a deep flood..?

It isn't the normal problem where you can get water in the boot or in the sills that come forward from the boot...

Jon, i have a myoo saloon, and when i first start the engine from cold, like loads of people on here i get a water sloshing type noise from the dash area..... does yours do it all the time?? can you rock the car with the engine off and still hear it??

 

no it doesn't come from anywhere near the dashboard, only under the trans tunnel around where the gearbox is...
