Correct Tyres for a 2004 Impreza WRX STi Type UK
Hi,
Pretty much as the title says, last time I didn't have the correct tyres fitted and cannot remember the correct tread pattern.
Now off the top of my head they're Bridgestone Potenza 225/45 R17 (sorry if this is wrong, haven't been out to check the exact tyre size). Then it's something like E040 (again I can check this myself), but then theres another code after this and this is the one I'm not sure of, think it starts with a couple of letters then some numbers. Can anyone help me with this? And does it really matter?
Cheers, Toby

Hi, thanks for you reply. however those are the codes i already know, mine are Potenza RE040 225 45 R17. But there is another code after that that I've been informed dictates the tread pattern. On mine it is EB040BZ, but I'm pretty sure this isn't the original one. Can anyone help me?

The number's and letters after the tyre size (ie 92W) are usually the load and speed rating for the tyre. See here:
Toyo Tire
Take a look at Bridgestone's website and see what ratings are available
