heat gun to get the tint off - then autoglym tar remover to get rid of the residue that'll be left

get a blade and run it behind the tint film then just pull, it might leave glue all over the window, easly sorted with tar & glue remover, and garage / valeter will have loads, mess'y job tho

i used a stanley blade to lift up the tint on the edge of the windows so i could remove it came off in one piece too. then i used wd40 and let it soak into the glue (didnt have anything else) and used the stanley blade to take off the glue. it was a pain in the *** to do probably needed a couple of goes to get it all off then cleaned up with autoglym fast glass.

what are the consequences of leaving them on? Does that mean everytime your car is now reg-checked by the police a message flags up about the previous tints warning???????

my bro was driving my car around last week and got caught with them and like you got a £30 fine and was asked to remove them but i havent decided what i am going to do. Dont like the idea of having tints on only half of the car so might just remove them all

iv been told that the tints incident will now be on the system everytime the police do a registration check on me and that they're sure enough to pick on me and give me a bigger fine if the tints remain on.

Now my bro has been given a ticket (offence code 136) which states he/i have 28days to pay the penalty but it doesnt state how long i have to remove the tints. Any ideas?

I've been told that generally you have to take them off straight away and cannot drive the car until they are removed. So, taking them off now would be a plan I guess. I could be wrong though, someone will probably point you in the direction of all the official info and numerous previous posts on this subject.

How dark are your front tints?

Ive got a land rover with midnight all round and my scoob has light smoke at the front and smoke for the rest.
