how long will it last
ben thinking about upgrading my turbo 2000 to about 330 bhp ,how many peoplle have done this without major reliability issues,how long do the engines last and what are they like to drive at this power level i cant imagine

Slightly biased as I've done it, but I would say a genuine 300 is a good figure for a classic. Being lighter than later cars, you'd probably need 330ish in those for the same performance. At 300 the standard clutch/gearbox should be ok and you'll be fine without a front mount intercooler. General reliability should be good also. Spend any extra money on better anti-roll bars/droplinks and brakes and you'll have a very good road car.
