Default Newbie!

Firstly hello all!

I've been lurking around the last week or so trying to get info. But now I've gone out and bought a MY98 UK Turbo ! Very pleased and can't wait to pick it up!
I do have a couple of questions and please ignore my ignorance about some trivial matters...
Do I have to run it on 98/99 RON petrol? If not does the ECU switch boost and timing dependant on the fuel used?
Also looking for a decent alloy wheel refurbisher in the Colchester area as I want to clean these up first!

Cheers

Rob

I guess you found this, just down the page.

Same rules for a MY98 basically. Used to have one myself and always ran it on Super.

Welcome.

If it's a standard car you should be fine to run it on 95 RON fuel, if it's not you are probably best to go for 98 RON.

I've run an MY97 and MY00, both to over 90,000 miles on 95 RON with no problem, but they were both standard.

I'm also near Colchester and always use Special Scoobys for servicing. If you are loaded and don't give a sh*t about your car, you can go to Haddocks!
