Default I/C Spray mod

As title says, i modded my I/C spray

I removed the jets and drilled the holes out to make them squirt out more water.
Its quite an easy mod, i drilled them out to 1.5 mm

Has anybody else done this? do you think it will make any diffrence?

Probably not. Its not the water itself that has a cooling effect on the I/C, its the air passing through a fine mist of water which cools the air and thus cools the I/C. Spraying more volume of water on the I/C will probably have the opposite effect. I would imagine that Subaru Japan did a little R&D on this and came up with what they did.

VW Golf mk4 washer jets give a nice fine mist. Thats what I am using along with boost controlled operation.

Im sure Subaru did some R&D on how they wanted the water to spray like a fine mist from the jets for most effectiveness. I think you have probably not helped by making the holes bigger.

probably dont fit the auto button in the UK due to water shortages in the summer...but still never notice any difference when operated and the extra weight is best taken off to give more performance
