whats the deal with getting more power from a 1998 uk turbo, it already has the prodrive pack, but i need more.. i understand that the 97> ecu's aint as easy to chip as the 97< ecu's...

what has everyone done to get more ummpphh???

 

TSL group "N" exhaust throughout, fully decatted, LINK ecu fitted and mapped by Bob rawle, 3-port boost solenoid, and STi intercooler at the same time, around 300bhp.

Also needs uprated brakes and a good suspension setup to cope

i've got a 98turbo i got a apexi pfc and being remapped mid march with following mod's vf28 tub,440injectors,full decat,fmic,3port boost solenoid,walbro 255 fuel pump,fpr induction kit hope to get around 300+ mark

 

My 1999 RB5 has walbro 255 pump, aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, induction kit, boost controller, full blitz exhaust and hayward/scott openmouth downpipe, un-equal length headers and front mount intercooler mapped on a Haltech ECU and I made 305bhp/301lbft torque at a recent rolling road day with standard injectors and standard TD04 turbo!!

 

how much was the haltech ecu ?

Stick to the above, but use a good panel filter instead of an induction kit and you will have a very nice set up. I saw around 310hp with that set up on mines, and made for a very tractable car.
