Default This pillock deserves all he gets.

Just heard that a local 06 STI owner has had his car towed away by the DVLA today. It wasn't taxed, wasn't insured. It was sorn'd but he left it on the road outside of his house.

What's the point of having a car like this if you cant afford to tax it and insure it????

His neighbour warned him of the perils of doing this and even offered the guy use of his vacant garage.

I bet he isn't alone. I bet running the STI was costing him as much as the repayments. Still a plonker though.

I think the only person who has humiliated themselves is the chap without tax and insurance.

You know nothing at all about his circumstances, so I don't really think you should be judging him..

If he was driving the car without insurance then fair enough - the guy is a ********, but if he had financial difficulties that came about after he had bought the car and he was forced to park the car up because he didn't have a drive then who the hell are you to judge him..

Besides your post is kind of irrelivant, as they won't crush the car anyway, he'll just have to pay a fine and then he'll get the car back..

No Mate, you're missing the point.

Regardless if he had financial difficulties or not. His neighbour not only warned him he was at risk of his car being taken but very kindly offered him the use of his vacant garage to store the car i.e off road so that wouldnt happen.

He declined to accept the offer.

That in my book makes him a complete c*ck.

Now go back and read my original post properly where I mentioned the offered use of a garage. That's why i've judged him . I havent mentioned anything to do with crushing. But now you've mentioned it the fella has 7 days to produce tax and insurance. failure to do so will then result in the car being disposed of.

I know the facts, you don't. I'd say you're the one doing the judging without the facts.

Yep - serves him right!

Why should the rest of us pay our taxes - and the tax on our insurance policy as well - when t8ssers like this bloke don't?

And what would he have done if the car had been nicked? Keep quiet for a few days whilst he insured it and then put in a claim? No, of course he wouldn't have done such a thing!

Have you not considered the fact that the guy may actually dislike the guy that was offering him the use of his garage?

For all you know the neighbour might be knobbing the blokes wife

FYI there was no need to ask me to re-read your post, as I took it all on board the first time through..

Who gives a fack if the guy has no car tax - it's got to be the most stupid form of tax ever - (TV licence excepted perhaps).
As for being parked up on the roadside without insurance - who the fock is he causing a problem to?
Too many fickers on too many feckin' high horses on this thread methinks

So when he crashes into you whilst he's just "moving it", you'll be happy to lose your no claims bonus 'cos he has no insurance? Yeh! Right!

There's plenty of folk on here who have been hit by t*ssers who can't obey the rules and ended up out of pocket so I hope they crush his car.

Meanwhile back in the real world!!

Stop talking out of your **** mate. I actually know the pair concerned. I play rugby with the guy who offered the garage. He told me about this at training.

Its a monumentally stupid thing to do which ever way you look at it.

Let's forget the tax thing or the fact its parked on the road.

What if the thing got nicked? No Insurance? Then he is f*cked!!

I've been round to the guy with the garage's house for a couple of barbeque's and the neighbour has always been there so they cant dislike each other that much.

You'll need to take my word for it that the wife doesn't come into the equation she's a bit of a hippacrocadillypig

I cannot see why you're struggling to get your head around this.

I'm not struggling to get my head around it, I'm simply playing devils advocate..

The one thing I am struggling with is why you find this situation so emotive..?

As stated previously who gives a toss if he doesn't have any car tax? Or even if he has no insurance [providing that he isn't driving the thing], also who cares if it gets nicked?

Not me that's for sure!!

On the one hand you seem concerned about the bloke’s loss and on the other hand you seem to think that he’s a complete tosser, in any case the amount of emotion displayed seems disproportionate.

Anyway, I’m sure you have your reasons..

If it was SORN'd like you say - the DVLA just think its not on the road driving about or locked away etc....so how did they know it was on the road?
Some sly **** has blew the poor guy up.

Why would you pay tax if it was sorn'd - the Insurance could have only just ran out.
