Thumbs up

My husband is chairman of a local IAM and recently compiled a test for his examinors.
I've selected 10 of the questions - see how you do (but don't cheat ..

1. Name the three types of pedestrian crossings?
2. How much room should you leave for overtaking a cyclist?
3. What is the only OCTAGONAL road sign?
4. What colour is the stick carried by a partially sighted & deaf pedestrian?
5. What is the maximum speed allowed on the hard shoulder of a motorway?
6. On the warning sign for a school, which child is crossing first, the girl or the boy?
7. How many different styles of 'give way' line are there?
8. Which two motoring offences require the courst to order an extended retest?
9. Front wheel drive cars tend to need more steering lock than you expect to hold a course through a bend; this is called....?
10. Modern roads have a ......?..... profile which banks the whole road towards the outside of the bend and removes the surprise that .....?..... changes can bring.

Good luck

P
PS Need to add - lets have both Muppet mode and serious

Sorry, been a long day.... Good test I do know the answers(did an IAM test a while back), but don't want to ruin people's game.

It does go to show though, how little people actually know of their environment around them.

Question

Does anyone apart from me think that question 6 is totally pointless?

How on earth can knowing the answer improve road safety?

The next thing will be a question as to whether Tufty is left or right handed
