My husband is chairman of a local IAM and recently compiled a test for his examinors.
I've selected 10 of the questions - see how you do (but don't cheat ..
1. Name the three types of pedestrian crossings?
2. How much room should you leave for overtaking a cyclist?
3. What is the only OCTAGONAL road sign?
4. What colour is the stick carried by a partially sighted & deaf pedestrian?
5. What is the maximum speed allowed on the hard shoulder of a motorway?
6. On the warning sign for a school, which child is crossing first, the girl or the boy?
7. How many different styles of 'give way' line are there?
8. Which two motoring offences require the courst to order an extended retest?
9. Front wheel drive cars tend to need more steering lock than you expect to hold a course through a bend; this is called....?
10. Modern roads have a ......?..... profile which banks the whole road towards the outside of the bend and removes the surprise that .....?..... changes can bring.

Solid one - means he has to give way
dotted one - means he might give way if he feels like it
invisible one - means that they should have given way, but felt like pulling out in front of you.

Driving without a baseball cap
Driving a volvo

Sorry, been a long day.... Good test I do know the answers(did an IAM test a while back), but don't want to ruin people's game.
It does go to show though, how little people actually know of their environment around them.

Does anyone apart from me think that question 6 is totally pointless?
How on earth can knowing the answer improve road safety?
