Default B*stard Brembos!!!

Something I am sick of hearing...........

"but they won't clear the Brembos"!!!

I would like a set of new wheels, but don't want to go the "every man and his dog PFF7" route and don't really want Speedline Turinis (although they are very nice) or Super/Ultra leg's.

Seems with the Brembo calipers and the newer 114.3mm PCD, my choice is somewhat limited unless I spend about £1600 or more.

Compomotie MO's and Volk TE37's have the look I like, but one is supposed to be mega-heavy and the other is plain expensive.

BAAARSSTAAAARD!!!

Not bad wheels, but not the look I want.

I prefer the rally slaaaaaaaag look of just 6 or 7 spokes.

Inovit STVI's would have been purrrrrrfect, but guess what.................... "they won't clear the Brembos"

Are you sure that you can't get them in a different offset that does clear Brembo's?

Know how you feel mate, I am in the same boat. Perhaps we could put a list together of available wheels in this thread to help people choose from what limited options we have:

So...

PFF7 - price?
Speedline Turinis (my current favourite) - price?

What else...

Cheers for that Prasius

I'll let you know how I get on, and may have a wheel to add to the list!!

Hmmmmmmmm the Revolutions are the shiznit like, but I don't want gold.....shame to have to buy new wheels and then have to pay to change the colour straightaway.

Perfect looks though.....very Compomotive MO's styleee.

You could try looking at ultralite a-tec wheels, not heard of any problems with those.

Revolution Milleniums mate...

Proper rally slag, better quality and lighter than the Compo's and affordable.

Thinking about these myself

I bought my GC05Fs because I didn't want to be part of the PFF7 crowd, but I guess that if you're including the cost of tyres they don't come in under £1,600.

Still, I do like them

Have you considered Rota rims? They're very lightweight and they have lots of designs in 5 x 114 that will clear big callipers. I'm using Rota Torques in 17 x 7.5 - only £480 per set of 4 and weighing in at just 5.9kgs per rim If performance per pound is your main goal, Rotas are pretty hard to beat

I'm in the same boat. Want to change my Hawkeye wheels but feel the choice is rather limited unless you want to spend a fortune. Interested to know what the quality of the Turini's is like?

Theres some cracking Volks alloys available now but some are over £400 per alloy.

Quality of the turnins mate is about as good as non forged rims get. The 18x8s i have are 9kg each and are of exceptional quality.

Available in graphite too...

Tried that I bought them as wheels only.

Had to send them back, two were new in Speedline boxes, one looked like a display model that came in a plain white box with no wheel nuts and the fourth turned up with a valve, balancing weights fitted and a nice chip on one of the spokes....."Brand new"? Yeah...right!

They were the last four they had so they couldn't replace the damaged wheel......so I returned them and got my money back!

Looks like they have fitted all of them with tyres to cover the valve and weights give -away, not sure what they will do about the chip though.
