Is it worth the drive?

Is it worth the drive?
Could anyone offer some advice on an impreza terzo please.
Ive been looking to spend around £4500 on a classic, and came across this:
Subaru : IMPREZA TERZO LIMITED EDITION (emigrating must go)
last night at £3250, which would leave me with a little left over to play with for a few subtle mods.
Now i'm fairly new to subarus and buying second hand, (all of my previous cars have been bought from people i know and trust) i think that although the car looks very clean from the outside, it seems very cheap - even if the story about emigrating is true (see advert).
I'm tempted to take the drive down to check it out, however it's about a 2hour drive there and i really don't want to waste my time to get there and find it's a bit dodgy.
Should i stay clear?, does anyone on here know anything about this car at all - is it genuine? Terzo number 254.
Thanks for any advice and views in advance

Do you particularly want a UK one?
You can get a good STI for £4500 which I doubt you would want to modify engine wise. Much higher spec than a UK car.
What ever you go for get it HPI'd before you go see it

It appears to be a genuine Terzo as the plaque is really difficult to get hold of (IIRC, only through IM)
However, it appears to be missing the decal on the nearside front wing although it still has it on the offside. Replacement/sprayed wing? If so, why??
£3250 does seem to be a very good price. Therefore you have to think is the emigration story to be believed or not. As per usual, buyer beware

Ideally yes, i would like uk turbo, for insurance reasons mainly. Very little chance i would able to afford the insurance on an sti, especially an import, for a few years yet unfortunately.
Thanks for the advice, will deffinately Hpi check, but at this stage of just looking and not viewing, £40 on a check seems a little steep.

Probably is genuine but then its just the paint and interior which is a bit different.
I'd ask why the sticker isn't on one side. And ask if theres any signs the wing has been removed. If the reply stands up but if you can see the wing has been off walk away.
Other than that very tidy looking car. I doubt even if it has had the wing off it would show on HPI. Still worth the £40 IMO.

Does look a nice car outside. Ask him to send you some under bonnet pictures post them here.
There are bargains to be had well worth a look I think.
